Obituary

Michael Louis Zabroski, age 71 of Hot Springs Village passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.  He was born April 25, 1948, in Homewood, IL to Stanley and Myra Mae Zabroski.  They preceded him in death as well as his siblings, Charles, and Roland Zabroski, Linda Headley, and Pamela Hubner.

Michael was a graduate of McHenry High School in McHenry, IL.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He later began his work career with the Local Union 287 retiring after 25 years of service.  After retiring he gained employment with Gateway Drug & Rehab in Englewood, IL.

He was a former member of the Pentecostal Church in McHenry, IL.  He and his wife relocated to Hot Springs Village in 2009 and became members of the Village Church of Christ.  Michael had a special love for horses and golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl Jones Zabroski of Hot Springs Village; his children, Richard (Kimberly) Zabroski of Union Grove, WI, Victoria (Scott) Meader of Greeley, CO, Dawn (Bill) Burzawa of Burlington, WI and Elizabeth (Christopher) Patton of Antioch, IL; his siblings, Hebert (Shari) Zabroski of Ocala, FL, Patricia (Ronald) Gero of Mudelein, IL and Phyllis (John) Wallaert; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the Village Church of Christ.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Holy Sews, Inc. P.O. Box 251506, Little Rock, AR 72225.
