Mildred Delores Delaine "Dee Dee" Gillespie in her 52 ^nd season of life passed away Monday, July 16, 2018. She was born August 26, 1965 in Ferriday, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Willie Mae Banks and one brother, Alfred Charles Leonard.

Dee Dee as she was known by most was a graduate of Ferriday High School in Ferriday, LA and an honor graduate of National Park Community College. She was a member of Living Waters Church of God In Christ. Dee Dee loved helping others. She was like her own Uber Driver for free. She loved her sons and always wanted the best for them.

Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Anthony "Biggs" Gillespie and Andrew Gillespie; three grandchildren, Ta'laizya, Kyran and Gabrielle Gillespie; eleven siblings, William, Robert, Daisy and Linda Leonard, Albert, Alton, Ethen, Ethel, Ramonia, Raymond and Bobby Leonard Banks; her god daughter, Victoria Ann Hunter; special friend, Bridgette Dooley Tollette; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the visitation.
