Montieria A. Myers faced her untimely death on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at the age of 22, along with her sister, Mernaiya Myers.  Montieria was born July 18, 1997, to LaTonya Myers and Monte Irwin Neal, Jr.  She was raised and nurtured by her grandparents, Linda Kidd Myers, and Howard Brooks.  She was preceded in death by her aforementioned father and sister; grandfather, Monte Neal, Sr.; great-grandparents, John and Coretha Neal; Tilmon and Nettie Steward, James and Corine Kidd and, Betty Jewel Higgins and Percy Myers.

Montieria was a graduate of Hot Springs High Class of 2016.   She was proud to be a Trojan Cheerleader. She never missed a day of school and received many perfect attendance awards. After graduating, she attended the College of the Ouachitas where she received her certification as a cosmetologist in January 2019.  She loved to look her best as well as making others look their best.  Montieria was full of energy, very mannerable and respectful to others.  She had a winning personality and a smile that would light up the room when she was present.  Montieria was employed by Sam's Club for three years.

Her beautiful smile and jazzy personality will be miss by her grandparents who adopted her, Linda Myers and Howard Brooks; her birth mother, LaTonya Myers; paternal grandmother, Bille Ruth Steward; maternal grandfather, Larry Myers; her siblings, Lesabriona Monet Neal, Monica Briselden, Mercedes Lemons, TahJay Myers, TahJon Myers, and Tavin York.  Montieria was loved by a host of special aunts, uncles, and many special friends too numerous to name at lest we offend someone.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 2, 2019, at Hot Springs Junior Academy 701 Main Street.  Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Immanuel Christian Fellowship Church, 1536 E Grand Ave.  Burial for Montieria will be in Greenwood Cemetery immediately following the service.  Guest registry is at http://www.carriganmemorial.com .
