Celebration of Life
He was born to Louis and Linda Marie Moten in San Bernardino, CA. Nebraska experienced many wonderful adventures as the family traveled. He did not became that angler his father hoped for, but Nee's passion was not sitting in a boat waiting for a fish to bite, he enjoyed being active in church programs, cooking and swimming in the Ouachita lakes here in the Natural State of Arkansas.
Family, was one of his motivations to thrive, he was not a selfish person and deeply loved his parents, sister, Yolanda and his niece and nephews along with his new extended family; Mom Janet aka "Butterfly" Duwan, Karisha, nieces and nephews .
Nebraska had amazing energy, he kept busy in the church, traveled with choirs, kept an immaculate home, cooked delicious meals and everybody wanted a dish. He was a dedicated hard worker; House Manager for children home, private duty elder care, cook, dietary aide and custodian. He also expressed his passion for the Lord, friends and life. He had a zeal for the Gospel, he sang in Choirs all around and he played the tambourine as powerrful as a minister of music would play an organ. He loved giving the Lord praise, it came so natural for him. He would inspire you to keep on keeping on for Christ, which was one of his gifts. His Sr. residents where uplifted and requested him to sing for them every day, and he did just that. We believe he had a ministry that touched so many lives in so many ways,
His struggles in life became his strength through tears and laughter his solid rock was Jesus. Nebraska with the Lords help transformed his life, his thoughts, behaviors and his compassion to commit solely to Christ.
Some may say, gone to soon. We say he was on time for Christ.
Nebraska was proceeded in death by his mother, Linda Marie Moten; grandmothers,; Dessie Davis and Bessie Moten; grandfathers, Lester Moten Sr. and John Davis Sr.
He is survived by his father, Louis Moten (Janet); grandmother, grand mother; Sharon Hester; sisters; Yolanda Moten and Karisha Brown; brother, Duwan Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
