Otis Lee Maxie, Sr., passed away on August 14, 2021, at the age of 72. He is survived by his loving wife Rose Maxie, his children Odis Maxie, Jr. Pearl Ingalls, Marcus Maxie, Joseph Maxie, Alexa Johnson, Demarius Thompson, Gabriel Maxie, and Joshua Maxie. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ne Draya McGowan, Nikehia McGowan, Kientre Maxie, Racheal Maxie, Mariana Maxie, Amber Maxie, DeAndre Maxie, Ravon Maxie, Jeremiah Maxie, Alisha Maxie, Michele Maxie, Marcus Jr., Jesse Maxie, Joseph Maxie Jr., Jaylann Maxie, and Jamario Maxie; 15 great-grandchildren and one brother.

Otis was born in Many, Louisiana, on December 7, 1948. He joined the church at an early age. In 1972 he joined the Marines. He owned a paint and body shop for several years. He truly loved to go fishing and he would go whenever he could.

Otis was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved his family greatly. His love will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in Peace and know that you are loved and missed tremendously.

The Visitation will be Wednesday, August 25, 2021, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Service. The Graveside Service immediately following at Friendship Cemetery.
