Obituary

Paula Ann Murdock – Green departed from her earthly home on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at her mother's home in Hot Springs Arkansas. She was born on March 29, 1963, in Greenville, OH, to the union of Paul Chambers and Louise Chambers.
She was proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents: Leona Williams, and Jeffery Graves, Sr.; paternal grandparents; Travis Chambers, and Minnie Witcher, and her eldest brother; Willie Logan, Jr.

Paula grew up as a member of the Evangelist Temple Church of God in Christ, under Bishop S.R. Chambers.  In her latter life, she joined Unity Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Elder Hosea Malone.  She was an avid churchgoer and had a deep love for gospel music. Throughout her years, she often sang at local churches in her community.

Paula's education began at Eastside Elementary School, continued to Greenwood Elementary School, and ultimately graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1981.  After graduation, she attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR.  During her school days, she played basketball for Southwest Jr. High and Hot Springs High.

Prior to her illness, Paula worked at the Community Service Office as a Family Service Worker for the Early Head Start program.  She loved her job and enjoyed working with the children and their families.  She also worked many years in the hotel industry, with her last position being a front desk supervisor for Hotel Hot Springs.  Additionally, she had a passion for listening to music, making and collecting jewelry, potting plants, doll collecting, and thrifting with her mom and sister.  Her true love was spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

She leaves behind to cherish the memories of her mother; Missionary Louise Chambers of Hot Springs, her father; Paul (Bertha) Chambers of Senatobia, MS; her husband Paul Green of Hot Springs, her children; Derrick (Sherri) Chambers, Sr., and Shawn Thomas II of Hot Springs, Ja'Corie (Vanessa) Chambers of Haslet, TX and her sister; Denise (David) Chambers of Cedar Hill, Texas; her brothers; Phillip (Laura) Logan of Little Rock, Ar., Donald Logan of Dallas, TX; Mark (Wilma) Thompson of Mukilteo, WA, Briant Chambers of Hot Springs, Anthony Chambers of Hot Springs, and Michael Chambers of Hot Springs.  A special aunt Nola Roberts of Hot Springs, and a cousin; Dwayne Graves of Arlington, TX.  She also leaves behind to cherish eleven precious grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family of Paula A. Murdock – Green would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all their friends, family, and acquaintances, both near and far, for the outpour of love and support during this difficult time. Special thanks to Genesis Cancer Center Dr. Sunikumar Kakadia, UAMS Division of Hematology/Oncology Dr. Akash Mukherjee, Elite Hospice Care of Hot Springs. May the good Lord bless each and every one of you.

The visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Carrigan's Memorial Funeral Services, 336 E. Grand Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901. The funeral will be Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 12 Noon at Unity Church of God in Christ 200 Gardner Hot Springs, AR 71913.
