Pearlie Mae Arberry, 98 of Hot Springs, Arkansas transitioned peacefully on October 22, 2024. Pearlie was born in McKamie, Arkansas to Leon and Willie Mae Hughes on July 18, 1926.

Pearlie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John Henry Hughes, Willie Lee Hughes, J.C. Hughes, Otis Hughes, Earnest Ray Hughes, and Calvin Hughes, one sister Earlie Mae Hughes—Lockheart, and one beloved son Joe Jones Jr.

Pearlie attended McKamie Schools in McKamie, Arkansas.  She was a loving devoted wife, mother, and friend. She worked multiple positions for The Club Café in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and retired after 15 years of service. Pearlie accepted Christ and was a long-time member of Nazarene Baptist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Pearlie enjoyed spending time with her family, playing spades, traveling, and fishing. Pearlie would always say "Shirley we gon play some cards tonight?"

Pearlie's memory will be cherished by her children: Doris (Joe) White of Philadelphia PA, Marslene (Gerald) Honore' of Muskegon MI, Ruby Oliver of Hot Springs, AR, Leland Fitzpatrick of Hot Springs, AR, James Fitzpatrick of Hot Springs AR, Frankie Arberry of Hot Springs, AR, and Shirley Arberry of Hot Springs AR, thirteen grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and one great- great-great-grandchild. A special niece Linda Hughes of Camden, AR, and a special great niece Krystal of Little Rock, AR.

The funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Nazarene Baptist Church, with Pastor James F. Lambert Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Smead Cemetery in Mount Holly, AR.
