Obituary

Peytinn Christopher Michael Softley, 3, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, gained his angel wings on July 22, 2025, in Little Rock, AR, at the Children's Hospital and entered eternal rest surrounded by love. Born on March 09, 2022, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Peytinn brought joy, laughter, and light to everyone who knew him.

Peytinn was a fun-loving, adventurous little boy who enjoyed attending Hot Springs Childcare and First Step. He especially loved spending time outdoors, watching Paw Patrol, and snacking on his favorites: Slim Jims, Town House crackers, Oreo cookies, and applesauce. Whether it was playing with his big trucks, shooting hoops, "driving" around, helping his Meme in the yard, or walking to the stop sign with his Paw Paw, Peytinn found happiness in the simple things.

He was preceded in death by his great-great-grandmother Idell Potts, great-grandmother Bennie Softley, great-uncle Van Helm, and great-aunt Marica Harris.

Peytinn's memory will forever be cherished by his loving mother, Ashley Softley; grandparents Sean (Cassius) Softley; great-grandparents William (Willie) McDaniel; bonus grandparents Raymond (Debbie) Thompson; uncles Austin Softley and Alex Green; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who adored him deeply.

Although his time here was brief, Peytinn left a lasting impression on all our hearts. His smile, his spirit, and his energy will live on in the lives he touched.

The Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Noon at St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901. The burial will follow at Crestview 3077 East Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901.

Just a boy and his trucks...If I could have held him just a little longer, rocked him one more time, read him just one more story, or watched him drift off to sleep in my arms again... If I could have lingered in his laughter, and cherished a few more of his precious smiles... But little boys are only ours for a little while. Get your rest, little one. Unknown
