Priscilla Ann
Elmore
Jan 24, 1956 — Apr 19, 2026
Priscilla Ann Elmore, 70, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned on Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was born January 24, 1956, to Hinton Elmore and Rubie Rose Newsome in Houston, Texas.
During her early life, she lived in McNeil, Arkansas, before her parents moved to Hot Springs. She attended Lake Hamilton High School and graduated in 1974. She studied at Garland County Community College, obtaining a degree in nursing.
Her parents taught all their children the importance of serving others, and as a result, she dedicated herself to over 36 years as a nurse in area hospitals. She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, a generous heart, and her deep faith in God, the love she had for her many cats, and an ever-present sense of humor.
Priscilla would always make sure her nieces and nephews received the loudest and most exciting toys possible for Christmas. On the fourth of July she obtained as many fireworks as possible to make sure that they had the best time celebrating. She wanted them to have fond memories that they would not forget. Even when she was unable to leave her home, Priscilla stayed in contact with her family and friends and would send out daily crosses through Facebook. She would make many new friends through that platform and shared with them her interests, faith, and love of her Razorbacks.
Priscilla was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother Thomas (Glenda) Elmore and his nephew Christopher Elmore.
She is survived by her son, Hinton (Erin) Murders, and grandson Brody Murders, brothers David (Barb dec) Elmore and Clayton (Jeri) Elmore, sister Claire (Dewayne) Pemberton, nieces Stacy Krulewich, Sarah Elmore, Amanda Elmore, and Megan Shackelford, nephews Brian Watts, Michael Elmore, Matt Pemberton, Ben Pemberton, and Adam Pemberton.
Priscilla’s funeral mass will be held at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hot Springs at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 23, 2026. Father George, whom she credited with bringing her back to her faith, will be presiding. Internment will be in Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee, Ok.
The family would like to thank The Pines for her excellent care during the last year of her life and all the prayers of family and friends during her illness.
