Ray Charles Matlock, Sr.  age 65, of Hot Springs passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019.  He was born February 20, 1954 in Mt. Pine to the late, Cecil and Margarite Brim Matlock.  He was a graduate of Mt. Pine High School.  Ray worked for Weyerhaeuser Company and Keith Smith CO.  Ray loved to fish, cook and bar-be-que.

Survivors include his children, Ray Charles Matlock, Jr. of Mt. Pine, and Constance Matlock (Michael Porter) of Hot Springs; grandchildren Dewayne Matlock, Tyson Stewart, Kason Porter, Alexus Jones, Thelyr Cobey, Kehlyn Cobey, Ian Matlock, Mason Matlock and Christopher Overton, and 4 great grandchildren; his siblings, Marion "Kay Kay" (Evans) Washington of Hot Springs, Shirley (Anthony) Taylor of  Natchitoches, LA, Marshella Lewis of Settle, WA, Jimmy (Mattie) Matlock of Hot Springs, Sandra (Larry) Jackson of Augusta, GA, Gwendolyn (Rae) Matlock-Graham of Omaha, NE, Jackie (Benny) McKinney of Marietta, GA  Patricia (Orville) Grey and Calvin Ray all of Dallas, GA, and Ruthie Collins of Little Rock; aunts and uncles, W.T.(Rosie) Matlock, Cleveland (Betty) Matlock, Leavy Matlock and Dorothy Tucker; a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Mt. Pine High School Cafeteria.
