Raymond Christopher "Chris" Simpson age 52, of Hot Springs died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.  He was born December 24, 1966, in Kilgore, TX to the late Raymond Simpson and Melva Godfrey.  He was also preceded in death by his uncle, James Godfrey as well as his siblings, Charles Fortson, Thedis Simpson, and Mona Lisa Simpson.

Chris was a graduate of Kilgore High School.  He was a former employee of Keith Smith Company. He loved to build model cars and was an awesome landscaper. His heart's desire was to build a shed for a detail shop.  Chris was a loveable person and was loved by many.

Those left to cherish his memories include his children, Christopher Winston, and Scherena Jackson; siblings, Pastor Audrey (Lavon) Chatman, Ramona Simpson, Lathiell (Cheryl) Simpson, and Cleophus Fortson; his companion, Nekisha Dobbins; aunts, Pastor Ella Mae Walker and, Dianne Godfrey; several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

A memorial celebration will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Quapaw Community Center, 500 Quapaw Ave.
