Obituary

Richard Asher "JR" King, III, of Nashville passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, two days shy of his 56 th birthday. Richard lovingly known as "JR" was born March 15, 1963 in Lompoc, California to proud parents, Richard A. King, Jr. and Fannie Deloris Hamilton King (McKenzie).  They preceded him in death as well as his sister, Denita "Nita" King.   Richard attended schools in Nebraska, Illinois, and South Carolina when the family moved with his father who was serving in the United States Air Force before moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas and attended Hot Springs High.

He married Loretta Finley on April 7, 1990.  Richard loved to barbecue, detail cars and spend time with family and friends.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of twenty-eight years, Loretta King of Nashville, AR; three daughters, Dontishia King of Nashville,  Chantel Finley of Texarkana, TX and Tyana Paxton of Mineral Springs, AR; six grandchildren that he dearly loved, Michael Hendrix, Ayanna Hendrix, Braylon Holyfield, E'mya Roberson, Brianna Roberson and Brynleigh Roberson; three brothers,  William "Sam" King and James Patrick "PK' King of Hot Springs, AR and Donald  "Duck" (Shaunelle) King of Mineral Springs, AR; sister, Deborah (Travis) Marshall of Nashville, AR; aunt, Shirley McClain of Surprise, AZ; uncles, Floyd Haislip of Nashville, AR, and Jim Hamilton Haislip of Kansas City, MO;  great-aunt, Zenobia Hamilton of Nashville, AR;  his father and mother-in-law,  Charles and Barbara Finley;  brothers-in-law,  Rufus Finley, Christopher (Leonette)Finley; sisters-in-law,  Brenda Finley, Gwen (Lora) Goza, Beverly Henry and Jacqueline Finley; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Sixth Street Auditorium in Nashville, AR. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Nashville, Arkansas.
