The life journeys of

Rickey Eugene Jackson was born on June 22, 1955, in Hot Springs Arkansas when he was born to the late LeAndrew and Vivian Ware Jackson. On August 29, 2023, his earthly journey ended unexpectedly in his 68th Season of life.

Throughout his journey in this season of life, Rickey achieved remarkable milestones. He was a proud graduate of Hot Springs High School in 1974. After completing his education, he dedicated himself to the workforce at St. Joseph Regional Health Center, now known as CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs. Over the course of 31 years of dedicated service, he held various positions and was recognized for his outstanding contributions when he was named Employee of the Quarter in 1993. In 1998, he expanded his skill set by completing a Personal Care Tech class, leading to his psych ward role. He continued to serve until his health prevented him from doing so.

Rickey was a devout member of Roanoke Baptist Church, where he found solace and community. His passion for fishing and indulging in culinary delights was evident to all who knew him. He had a heartwarming love for children, and they greatly reciprocated that affection. Despite the challenges posed by his illness, Rickey possessed a remarkable ability to comfort others, whether through in-person conversations or over the phone. He never uttered a complaint about his own health problems but instead dedicated himself to checking on the well-being of those around him.

In 2002, Rickey married the love of his life, affectionately known as "Tan." They shared 21 beautiful years together, cherishing every moment.

Rickey's memory will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind, including his devoted wife, Tanja Reed Jackson, his brother Andre' (Rosa) Jackson, his sister Shirley Williams all of Hot Springs, Gloria (David) Thomas of Winnsboro, Louisiana, and Barbara Jordan of Lewisville, TX. his father and mother-in-law, Talbert (Margie) Reed of Hot Springs, brother-in-law Marcus (Stacie) Reed, and Talbert Jr. of Hot Springs, sister-in-law Tavia Young, and Kenya Reed of Hot Springs. his uncle O.B. (Kari) Ware of Little Rock, Arkansas,A special bond with his nephew/son AJ, and Niece A'Sombra Reed, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of extended family and friends will forever hold him dear in their hearts.

The memorial will be Friday, September 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Roanoke Baptist Church 236 Whittington Ave Hot Springs, AR 71901.
