Rickey Glasgow, Sr age 62, of Prescott, AR (Greenhill Community) was born June 24, 1957, the eighth of twelve children born to the late Maeodia and Kermit Glasgow, Sr. He graduated from Blevins High School in Blevins, Arkansas. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in DeAnn, Arkansas until he moved to Kansas City where he joined the Bethel Baptist Church until he moved back to Arkansas.
During his employment years he worked at Midland Lithography in Kansas City, Donnie and Deborah Sod Company, and Tyson in Hope, Arkansas is where he retired after many years. He was always a person that did not want to report to work late. He was always early and would work overtime when needed.
During his life Rickey enjoyed family, radio music, playing the drums, laughter, hunting, quails, reading his Bible and any types of books, and talking about the Holy Spirit.
Rickey Glasgow, Sr, departed this life on December 22, 2019, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas Texas.
He was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers: Zoro Glasgow and Luther (Tony) Glasgow: three sisters: Mae Rose Henagan, Earlean Strickland, and Maxine Matfield.
He leaves to mourn his passing; two sons: Christopher (Maretta) Glasgow, Rickey (Nickala) Glasgow, Jr, and one daughter, Celeste Glasgow; four granddaughters and four grandsons; four sisters: Minnie P. Butler, Glory Young, Linda (Glenn) Burton, Tressa (Lyle) Woodberry and 2 brother: Kermit (Lucinda) Glasgow, Jr., and Calvester (JoAnn) Glasgow; a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Antioch Baptist Church Hwy 332, Deann/Hope with Pastor Patrick Gulley delivering the eulogy and will serv as officiating minister.
