Robert Lee "Slick" Merry in his 61st season of life passed away, Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was born December 23, 1955 in Hot Springs to Joe Merry and Arline Pattillo. They preceded him in death as well as, his siblings, James Earl Lawson, Sr., and Christine Holman. Slick as he was known to family and friends loved his family. He was often the life of the party. He loved to garden and fish.

Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Ricky (Mary) Lawson, Johnell Dale (Shirley Johnson), Raymond Pattillo (Jackie Willis), Kathy Young and Joann Timmons; his companion, Stacy Hubbard; a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, friends and extended family.
Funeral service will be 12:00 PM. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Eureka Baptist Church 721 Gaines Street, with Pastor Steve R. Lake officiating and Minister Patrick Timmons delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will be at 210 Mason Street, Apt. A.
