Robert Lee McGhee (Gheechee), age 60, of Hot Springs, passed away on June 1, 2021. Robert Lee was born on April 5, 1961, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Ernest Lee Greenwood SR. and Peggy Joe McGhee-Cotton.

Robert Lee is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and second mom Joanne Armstrong McGhee, his aunts; Della Word, Rosa Honeycutt, Rita Carter, Ollie B. Burks, uncles; Belma Burks, George Burks, Glen Carter, and Albert McGhee.

Robert Lee went to Hot Springs High School and he graduated in 1979. After graduation, he joined the United States Army. He worked at the Embassy Suites Hotel in housekeeping and the Arlington Hotel. He was very passionate about football and had a love for fishing.

Robert is survived by his fiance; Shirley Watkins of Hot Springs, his aunt Laura McDaniel of California, his first cousin/brother, Wayne (Tank) Murphy of Hot Springs, and a host of extended family, many first cousins, and friends.

The Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 11:00 am with the visitation one hour prior at the Historic Eureka Baptist Church with Pastor Steve R. Lake officiating.
