Obituary

Rose Wanzor, 68 years of age, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on August 12, 2020.

Rose was born on March 11, 1952, to the Robert Hughes and Sula Mae Wanzor in Bastrop, LA.

Rose was preceded in death by both of her parents; her bother, Bobby Hughes; and her sons, Deondre Smith, and Darius Crum.

Rose was a dedicated mother. She invested 15 years at Children's Mercy in Kansas City, MO in the dietary department to provide for her family.  To know her is to know that she was very strong-willed and opinionated.  She was bold in her decision making and stood strong by her life choices. She was free-spirited, and often fed her spirit not only with the great meals she prepared but also by freely dancing to her favorite songs by Keith Sweat. During her free time, she also enjoyed reading the TV guide.

She leaves her daughter Samantha Crum of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Tierra Land, Tahj Jordan, Raymond Jordan; her siblings, Terrell Gafford of Oklahoma and Virginia Wanzor of Los Angeles, CA; her cousins Keisha Barlowe of St. Louis, IL, Crystal Jackson of East St. Louis, Billy Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, and Kevin Jackson of Los Angeles, CA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Donations can be made directly to Carrigan Memorial, via phone or mail 336 E. Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71913.
