Rosland Marvessia Jones-Johnson, 63, of Hot Springs, AR, transitioned to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, June 17, 2024. She was born in Atlanta, TX, to James Thompson and Josie Yvonne Jones Sharp.

Rosland is preceded in death by her parents, and her late husband Howard Johnson.

Rosland dedicated her life to the Lord at an early age. She graduated from Arkansas High School, Class of 1978, in Texarkana, Arkansas, and continued her education at Henderson State University. In 1983, she married her soulmate, Howard Earl Johnson. She enjoyed a thriving career at Walmart for over 40 years. Rosland cherished her family and friends and was passionate about reading, cooking, shopping, watching games and crime shows, and spoiling her granddaughter.

Rosland is survived by her son, Jarrid (Lavinia) Johnson; daughter, Aaron Johnson; sisters, Rhonda Jones, Cheryl Gross, Jaye Campbell, Terri Dearmon, and Susan Thompson; brother, Joe Sharp, Jr.; granddaughter, Ly'Nia Johnson; and a host of family, friends, and cherished customers.

The visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm on Friday at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services, 336 E. Grand Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901. The funeral service will occur on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 219 Gulpha Street, Hot Springs, AR 71901.
