Obituary

Rozena Everett, age 78, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned peacefully on March 28, 2025, from this life to her heavenly home. She was born on February 10, 1947, in Star City, Arkansas, to Clarence and Vanessa Smith. Rozena was one of fifteen siblings.

Rozena was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Willie Everett Sr. for 58 ½ years (June 15, 2021), four brothers, and two sisters.

Rozena attended school in Star City, where she met the love of her life, Willie Everett Sr. The two were united in marriage on December 23, 1962. Shortly after, they moved to Hot Springs, where Rozena devoted herself to motherhood and homemaking, lovingly raising their eleven children.

A woman of unwavering faith, Rozena dedicated over 40 years of service to Living Waters Church of God in Christ, with more than 30 of those years as the esteemed Mother Board of the Church. Her love, wisdom, and guidance were a blessing to her church family and community.

Rozena found joy in spending time with her family, crafting, fishing, cooking, and gardening. She had a special passion for growing flowers and took immense pride in her beautiful garden. She also had a deep admiration for eagles, amassing a cherished collection that brought her great joy.

Rozena will be missed by her eleven children: James (Elizabeth) Everett of Spokane, WA; Lisa Everett of Hot Springs, AR; Margaret (Justice) McCallister of Hot Springs, AR; Willie (Vicki) Everett Jr. of Hot Springs, AR; Laurie (Malcolm) Smith of Malvern, AR; Huston Everett of Minnesota; Kelly Everett of Hot Springs, AR; Kevin Everett of Minnesota; Charla Everett Long of Hot Springs, AR; Crystal (LaJuan) Lambert of Hot Springs, AR; and Matthew Everett of Hot Springs, AR.

She also leaves behind a large and loving family, including her many siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at National Park Medical Center for their care and support.

The Visitation will be on April 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Service, 336 E. Grand Ave. Hot Springs, AR 71901. The Funeral will be held on Friday, April 04, 2025, at Noon at Living Waters Church of God in Christ, 306 Grove St, Hot Springs, AR 71901. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, 303 Hollywood Ave. Hot Springs, AR 71901.
