Obituary

Shane Russell Singleterry, 55, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned from this earthly life on Saturday, October 3, 2026. He was born on October 22, 1970, in Malvern, Arkansas, to Janice Singleterry and the late Ira Warren Singleterry.

Shane was raised in the Hot Springs area and attended Lake Hamilton School. Throughout his life, he was known for his hardworking and independent spirit and was self-employed.

Affectionately known by family and friends as “Big Country,” Shane was a true outdoorsman at heart. He enjoyed spending his time hunting and especially loved fishing. Whether he was enjoying the peace of the outdoors or simply spending time with those closest to him, Shane lived life in his own special way. His nickname, “Big Country,” became a familiar and cherished part of how so many knew and remembered him.

Shane was preceded in death by his father, Ira Warren Singleterry.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Janice Singleterry; his sister, Sheri Singleterry; two nieces, Scarlett Singleterry and Nikki Leach; along with other relatives, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing “Big Country.”

Though Shane’s earthly journey has come to an end, the memories he created, and the love shared with his family and friends will remain in their hearts for years to come.

Rest peacefully, “Big Country.” Your memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
