Obituary

Sharon Diane Smith Jordan age 63, of Pine Bluff, formerly of Mt. Pine, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019.  She was born May 10, 1955, in Hot Springs to Columbus and Lucille Brim Smith, Sr.  They preceded her in death as well as her siblings, Vera Smith, Columbus Smith, Jr., and Gary Smith.

Sharon was a 1973 graduate of Mt. Pine High School. She later attended and graduated from Quapaw Vo-Tech where she received her degree in nursing.  Sharon was not one to ever sit idle and had strong work ethics.  During her career she worked for the Mt. Pine School District, St. Joseph's Hospital, Chicot Memorial Hospital, Jefferson Regional Medical Center.  She served as a school nurse for the Camden Fairview School System and was currently working as a school nurse for the Pine Bluff School System.  Wherever her husband worked as a coach, she found her a job in the area.  Even after her health began to decline, she still had a mind and a will to work.

Sharon was a lover of God's word and she loved to read the Bible.  In her younger years, she was a faithful member of Eureka Baptist Church in Hot Springs and later became a member of Concord Baptist Church in Camden.  She was in every sense of the word known as a "servant".

Sharon loved going on shopping trips with her friends, especially to Branson, MO.  She also had to develop a love for football due to the fact she was married to a coach, her sons played football and both are now coaches.

The passing of Sharon has left a void in the heart of her loving and devoted husband, Prestard "P.J." Jordan of Pine Bluff; her sons whom she was very proud of, Zachary (Kendra) Jordan of Bryant and Justin (Kimberly) Jordan of Fayetteville; three adorable granddaughters, Zarrah, Averie and Kamryn; two brothers, Michael (Doris) Smith of Oklahoma City, OK and Kevin (Tryla) Smith of Fort Smith; her mother-in-love, Carrie Ross of Fordyce; a host of nieces, nephews including a very special nephew who has been with her every step during her journey, Marcus Smith, Sr. of Pine Bluff and  her special friends and extended family.
