Shirley Dianne Hicks, age 65, of Hot Springs, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at home with her son. She was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on July 9, 1957, to Solomon L. Hicks Sr. and Pearline Hicks.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, sister Doris Corine Head, and nephew Courtney Hicks.

She graduated from Mountain Pine High School and received her Nursing degree shortly after. She worked as LPN for National Park Medical Center for 26 years. Shirley was always the life of the party. Family time was her favorite time. She loved to sing along with family, dance, and have a good time. Crocheting and gambling were her favorite things to do. LOVE is the word to describe her. No matter who you were she loved you like you were one of her own, especially her children and grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her children Latanya Blevins, Jawan Nevels, Donald Nevels Jr, and Qasim Luqman; her sisters Mary Redmond and Patricia Robinson; Brothers Solomon L. (Debbie) Hicks Jr and Herman Hicks; her Nineteen grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews.

The Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Friendship Cemetery with Ruby Heard officiating.
