Our beloved daughter, god-daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

Tammie LaShan Stokes was born November 25, 1973 in Benton, AR to the late, R.J. Stokes, Jr and Annie Glymph Stokes.  On Saturday, November 18, 2017 Tammie went to be with the Lord.  She was surrounded by her loving and caring family.

Tammie was a graduate of Benton High School Class of 1992.  She attended and studied Social Work at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  She worked at Benton Civitan Center.  She also worked for Arvest Bank and American Best Inn.

Tammie married Tommie Freeman in 1994.  Although she had no children of her own, she spoiled all of her nieces and nephews.

Tammie was a faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She served in the choir member, culinary ministry, the hospitality committee.  She loved to cook and get family together for different occasions, and she loved to shop!

She leave to cherish her memories, her mother and step-father, Annie and Columbus Freeman; god-mother, Mary Franklin; her brothers, Renard (LaJuana) Anderson, Terrell (Larinda) Anderson, Rickey Alan Stokes, Sr., Ellis (Valarie) Stokes, Sr.; Derick (LaShawna) Jackson, Patrick (Keshia) Stokes; her sisters, Annette Ashley, Linda Anderson, Racque Stokes, Recole Stokes, Rachael Stokes, Lynn Gray, Tanisha Stokes and Natoshia Higgs-Smith; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral service will be 12:00 Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Elect Temple COGIC, Benton, AR.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, November 24, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at St. Paul Baptist Church 1200 Dixie Street, Benton, AR.
