Tamra Patrice
Finney
Jan 29, 1958 — Jan 9, 2024
Tamra (Tam) Patrice Finney, aged 65, peacefully completed her earthly journey on January 9, 2024. Born on January 29, 1958, Tamra's life was marked by love, dedication, and a vibrant spirit.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeffrey B. Finney, her father, William "Zeke" Evans, grandmothers, Bobbie Davis and Irene Evans, mother-in-law, Hiji Finney, and sister-in-law, Veronica Evans.
Tamra's educational journey led her to graduate from Hot Springs High School in 1976. Her professional path was deeply intertwined with St. Joseph's Mercy Medical Center (now CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs), where she served with commitment until her well-deserved retirement in 2018. Even in retirement, Tamra continued her service, becoming a CHI Volunteer and contributing her skills to the Board of Directors for the hospital's credit union.
Tamra shared a remarkable 36-year marriage with her late husband Jeffrey, whose passing in September 2022 marked the end of a beautiful chapter. A faithful member of Roanoke Baptist Church, Tamra found joy in various pursuits, including crafting, bowling, engaging in community work, and, above all, spending cherished moments with her family.
Left to carry forward the legacy of her warmth and kindness are her loving mother, Johnnie Evans of Hot Springs; devoted son, Jason Finney of Hot Springs; caring daughter, Caliece (Clifton) Hart of Cummins, GA; adored grandchildren, Je'son Finney, Tristin Finney, and Constance Hart; as well as great-grandchildren, Tatia, Olivia, and Lorenzo. Also, be held dear by her brothers Keith Evans of Wildomar, CA, Anthony (Carmen) Evans of Chesapeake, VA; sisters Deidre Knox and Karen Evans of Woodbridge, VA; brothers-in-law Darrell (Rebecca) Finney of Little Rock and Clarence Finney of DeSoto, TX; sisters-in-law Gwendolyn Finney of Hot Springs, AR; Wanda Nelson of Hope Mills, NC; Harriet Finney of Tucson, AZ, and Juliette Finney of DeSoto, TX. Additionally, a host of nieces, nephews, and a community of friends share in the collective grief of her passing.
In honoring Tamra Patrice Finney's memory, we recognize the impact of her love and the lasting impressions she leaves on those fortunate enough to have been a part of her life. May she rest in eternal peace.
The graveside service is at noon on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Crestview Memorial Park 3077 E. Grand Hot Springs, AR. 71901.
