Tarbert Tyrone Reed, 82 transitioned into eternal rest on August 01, 2024, at home in Hot Springs, Arkansas surrounded by family. He was born on March 27, 1942, to the Rev. Dennis Reed and Willie Mae Reed in Smackover, Arkansas.
Tarbert received his formal education in Smackover, Arkansas, and graduated from CP Coleman High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After receiving his diploma, he moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he worked at the Ramada, formerly known as the Velda Rose, for over 30 years. He later retired and worked as a driver for Meals on Wheels.
Tarbert was a dedicated member of Woodridge Street Church of Christ, where he served faithfully until his illness. He enjoyed singing with the sisters in the church choir and cherished being around his family and church members.
Tarbert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Amos Reed and Tommie Reed, and two sisters, Willie White and Marjorie Washington.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 61 years, Margie Reed; two sons, Tarbert Reed Jr., and Marcus Reed; four daughters, Kenya Reed, Tanja Jackson, Tavia Young, and Terry Green; also, raised their grandson Orian Reed, grandchildren; Taneshia Reed, Lacrecia Brown, A'sombra Reed, Michael Reed, Marcus Reed Jr, Dekendra Dickens, Kenya Erica Reed, Jevonta Young, Martell Paschal, and Sparky Butler, eighteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 am, The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Woodridge Street Church of Christ 133 Woodridge Street Hot Springs, AR 71901.
