Obituary

Born on August 24, 1949, in Sedalia, Missouri, Terry was the son of Carl and Francis Chamberlin. In early childhood, he moved with his mother to Springfield, Missouri, where he attended Central High School and graduated in 1967. He was later drafted into the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War.

A natural salesman and entrepreneur, Terry possessed a remarkable ability to turn ideas into opportunities. Known for his outgoing personality and gift for conversation, he never met a stranger. Whether conducting business, sharing stories, or simply enjoying the company of others, Terry had a genuine appreciation for connecting with people and building lasting relationships.

In 1980, Terry relocated his family to Mountain Home, Arkansas, where he embraced his love for the outdoors. An avid duck hunter and trout fisherman, he found great joy and peace in nature. Some of his most cherished moments were spent in the duck blind or standing in the flowing waters of a river with a fly rod in hand.

Above all, Terry’s Christian faith remained a guiding force throughout his life. He had a deep commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and dedicated decades to a gospel tract ministry. Through this ministry, he faithfully shared the message of salvation, touched lives, and demonstrated his desire for others to know Christ.

Terry leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Susan Motes (Woody), and granddaughter, Allison; his son, Jason Chamberlin (Meredith), granddaughter, Abigail, and twin grandsons, Calder and Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Francis Chamberlin; his sister, Sharon; and his half-brother, August.

Terry will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, warm personality, love of the outdoors, and unwavering devotion to his faith. His life was marked by meaningful connections, cherished memories, and a lasting commitment to sharing God’s Word.
