Thomas Mario Vance, 48, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned peacefully in his sleep during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 17, 2026.

He is survived by his son and two daughters, his loving mother and father, and his siblings.

Thomas was a man who could do just about anything. He truly embodied the phrase “jack of all trades,” often making multiple trips to Lowe’s after realizing he had forgotten a few items on his list of parts or tools. Yet beyond his many skills, what stood out most was his willingness to help others. No matter a person’s background, Thomas was always ready to lend a hand and make sure no one was left without support.

Above all, Thomas was a devoted father. He believed in teaching his children kindness and compassion values he carried so naturally and abundantly. He loved his children deeply and worked to show them how to hold onto their goodness in a world that can sometimes try to take it away.

Thomas was also a true friend and brother to many. His passing leaves a “Tom-shaped” space in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind unfinished projects and countless memories, and many will find themselves reaching for their phones, wishing they could call on him one more time for help or advice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 28, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at SQZBX, located at 236 Ouachita Avenue in Hot Springs.
