Tyrone Victor Watkins, in his 67th season of life, left this world on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, as he joined the Lord in eternal peace. Although his departure brings sorrow to our hearts, we take solace in knowing that Tyrone lived a blessed and fulfilling life.

Tyrone was born on February 4, 1956, in Fordyce, Arkansas, as the second eldest son of James R. Watkins and Bobby Jean Jacobs. His loving father preceded him in death, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy.

At an early age, Tyrone joined Mount Tabor Baptist Church, where he nurtured his faith and found solace in the Lord. He received his education from Fordyce High School and was a proud member of the class that integrated the schools. After, High School he furthered his education at Henderson State University, and U.A.B.P. Tyrone later enlisted in the United States Army, demonstrating his commitment to serving his country.

Following his military service, Tyrone worked for the Southwestern Bell Phone Company in Fordyce, Arkansas, before moving to Little Rock, where he made his home. He eventually relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked for the Nevada Police Department and the Nevada School District. Tyrone held roles as a coach and referee, making a positive impact on the lives of students. After a long and fulfilling career, he retired and pursued his passions for travel, hunting, sports, and fishing.

Tyrone's memory will forever be cherished by his beloved mother, Bobby Jacobs, who supported him throughout his journey. by his brothers: Michael (Big Mike), Jone Antonio McCoy, Greg Andrews, and Roger Johnson, all of Hot Springs, AR. His sisters, Namoi McNeil and MorTisha Parham, both of Hot Springs, Arkansas, will hold his memory dear. Additionally, Tyrone leaves behind his aunts and uncles: Wayne (Ruth) Jones of Pine Bluff, AR, Sally Shaw of Carthage, AR, and Willie Mae Jones of Rison, Arkansas.

Tyrone was adored by his nieces, great-nieces, and nephews, who brought joy to his life. Among them, he shared a special bond with(Little Red Angel) Fe'Nyx Danielle Finister and Stephanie Burden of San Francisco, CA, as well as (V.V.) Havila Newborn, Kevin, Chris, Rod T., Traidon (The Train), Auston, Titian Newborn, Lamarion, TaLasia, Aria, Tranisha, Shanna, and LaTrice. A host of cousins, family, and friends.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Tyrone's life will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Service. We kindly invite all friends, family, and acquaintances to attend this service and pay their respects.
