The Life Journey
of
Vagur Amorita Wilson

Vagur Amorita Wilson began her life's journey on March 20, 1962 in Hot Springs, AR when she was born the daughter of Ruby Ernestine Wilson and Walter Gabriel Pichon, Jr.  Her life's story came to an unexpected end in her 56 th season of life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 as she peacefully went to be with the Lord.

Vagur loved the Lord and accepted him as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age.  As a young child she attended Ebenezer Baptist Church.  At the age of 11 she became a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor W.L. Robinson.

Vagur was a 1980 graduate of Hot Springs High School.  She attended National Park Community College and received a business degree from Strayer University.

She was a former Human Resource Specialist for Food for Less/Harps Association. She also was a former employee of Regions Bank, and Summit Bank.  At the time of her passing she was employed with Smith Abrasive, Inc. as a customer service representative.

Those completing the journey before include her aforementioned father, grandmother, Carolyn Pichon; grandfather, the famous Jazz Musician, Walter G. "Fats" Pichon, Sr who is an inductee in the New Orleans Jazz Hall of Fame.  She was his youngest granddaughter, grandparents, Rev. Herbert & Johnnie Wilson and Juanita Sims and her extended family.

Vagur's passing has left a hole in the heart of her loved ones that can only be mended by the love and memories that have been shared during her journey on earth.  Missing her in love is her mother, Ruby  E. Wilson of Hot Springs; her children, Ruby "Cookie" Wilson of Rowlett, TX and Robert Pleasants III of Hot Springs; her siblings, Evangelist Cheri Wilson, Dexter Wilson and Terri (Billy) Jefferson all of Hot Springs, Benette (Tony) Brown of Minneapolis, MN; her stepmother, Lillie Pichon, Metairie, LA; one aunt, Rev. Gloria J. Wilson of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Sarah Wilson, Jaidyn Pleasants and Karis Tollette; one great grandson, Isaac Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will miss her immensely.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Mark Baptist Church 542 Crescent Ave.  Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 – 6:30 PM, Friday, August 31, 2018 at the funeral home.
The family will be at 116 Noles Street, Hot Springs, AR
