Hot Springs Arkansas
Valerie Johnson, 67, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life at her home on June 19, 2026.
Valerie was born on July 23, 1958, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Robert and Katherine Veasey. She was a kind-hearted woman whose gentle spirit, warm smile, and infectious laugh brought joy to everyone who knew her. Her love for her family, friends, and community was evident throughout her life.
Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Katherine Veasey, and her beloved fiancé, Gregory Galloway.
Valerie attended Glenwood High School and later continued her education at National Park Community College. Beyond her work in healthcare, Valerie faithfully served her community through her involvement with the Glenwood Senior Activity Center and the Glenwood Public Library, where she enjoyed making a positive impact on the lives of those around her.
She found happiness in life's simple pleasures. Valerie loved shopping with her daughter, spending time outdoors, bird watching, and caring for her beloved kitties. Above all, she treasured the moments spent with those she loved. Her unforgettable laugh and caring spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving daughter, Marissa Veasey; her sister, Vickie Bradley; her brother, Robert Randall Veasey; and a host of extended family members, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and generosity.
A celebration of Valerie's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services, 336 East Grand Ave. Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
Though Valerie's earthly journey has come to an end, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the laughter she brought to so many will live on forever. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
