Obituary

"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with
gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his
pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his
love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all
generations." Psalms 100, NIV Translation

As a "Jack of All Trades", Walter better known as Walley adored life
fulfilling activities. He was an all-around outdoorsman. From fishing to
hunting, joy riding, and gardening Walley enjoyed them all. He spent
much of his time thriving in his passion for rebuilding and repairing
automobiles. Although he lived for the joy these activities brought, it
never deterred him from being the family man he loved to be. Walley
delighted in time with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings,
parents, and friends. Later in life he entered into a cherished brotherhood
with the NO LIMIT RIDERS. This solid alliance brought on an
abundance of youthfulness and rekindled his love for riding. Even within
sickness Walley still relished in the joys of life, always trusting in the
Lord with his whole heart.

On Friday, July 17th, 2020, Walter Delgottus Holley Jr. transitioned into
the arms of his loving Sovereign Father whom he loved and knew He
and the Angels would never ever leave or forsake him in his time of
ascension.

Walter Delgottus Holley, the youngest of six children, that long-awaited
son was born Friday, December 04, 1959, to Walter Holley Sr. and
Donnie Jasper-Holley in Dumas, AR. In 1978 Walter welcomed his
oldest daughter Shlondon Holley-King. Walter was a 1979 graduate of
Dumas High School where he had been very active in extracurricular
activities, including football. Shortly after graduation, he welcomed his

second daughter Latoya Holley-Newman. He later went on to complete
his post-secondary level of education at Pines Vocational Technical
College in 1981.
After graduating from Pines Vo-Tech, Walter moved to Hot Springs, AR
where he attended the Arkansas Rehabilitation Center after losing his leg
(1980) in a tragic on-the-job accident. While regaining his strength
Walter earned his trade-in auto collision repair. He moved to Texas to
begin his career and to be close to his Sweetheart and Life Love, Karen
Webb-Holley. They married August 11, 1984, and began their family
together, first Ashley then Adriane. The Holley's enjoyed their lives
living in Dallas, TX until an opportunity for them to relocate to Hot
Springs, AR in 1993 to open their own business. This move permitted
them to be closer to their loving families, the Webbs and the Holleys
(Dumas). They took the leap of faith and opened The Greatest Shop
(TGS). Thus began his impact on the community of Hot Springs,
surrounding areas. They added a new member to the Holley Clan, Ajalen
(his baby boy). His hospitality whenever you visited his shop combined
with his sense of humor was sure to carry you to the next visit. His
meticulous skill set, followed by his library of knowledge, allowed his
empire to flourish on referrals alone. Even with declining health, Walter
positioned his establishment to function without him for years to come.
Led by his protégé Arsenio Ussery.
Not only was Walter the successful owner and operator of TGS, he also
served on the Deacon Board at St. Mark Baptist Church for many years,
Vice President of the No Limit Ryders Motorcycle Club (Hot Springs
Chapter), and most recently an auto collision staff member at Arkansas
Career Training Institute (ACTI) where he served as a leader of the
ASC, teaching and mentoring young students on the cuspate of starting
their careers. He loved spreading positivity through God's Word, Deeds,
and Actions. Walter's servant heart and adventurous nature radiated
throughout this community as an Unsung Hero, he knew no strangers.
Walter was a man of integrity and honesty who never looked for praises.

He enjoyed giving his all and supporting others and putting smiles on
the faces of those he loved.
"Brothers and sisters continue to think about what is good and worthy
of praise. Think about what is true and honorable and right and pure
and beautiful and respected." Philippians 4:8.
Walter was predeceased by his aforementioned, wife, (April 2019); son,
Dettrus Johnson, (November 2012), Sister-In-Law, Aubrey Jean Norman
(August 2018), and Mother-In-Law, Scottie Mae Webb (May 2007).
