James Dean "Jim" Wallace age 75 of Hot Springs Village passed away Saturday December 24, 2011 in Hot Springs. Jim was born June 2, 1936 in Walnut, IL to Roscoe James and Ruth Becknell Wallace. He reside most of his life in Davenport, Iowa. He served four years in the United States Navy. On November 30, 1957 he married Joan Bearbower . Jim worked as a System Analyst for Caterpillar, Inc for thirty-two years. He was a huge Bears, Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan. After retiring he and his wife moved to Hot Springs Village in 1994. Jim loved playing golf, dog sitting, walking, swimming, and being with his many friends. They were members of Christ Lutheran Church in the Village. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Phyllis Warnken, Carol Krenz and an infant sister.

He leaves a lasting impression in the heart of his wife of 54 years, Joan Wallace of Hot Springs Village; one daughter, Debra Buckley of Los Angeles, CA; two sons, Steven (Charelle) of Oxford, CA and Kirk Wallace of North Liberty, IA; one sister, Nancy Wallace of Davenport, IA; six grandchildren, Brian and Angie Buckley of Bettendorf, IA, Chris (Gretchen) Buckley of Las Vegas, NV, Bryce Wallace of North Liberty, IA and Carli and CarterWallace of Oxnard, CA.

The family wishes to thank Lynn Reeves and the volunteers of the Caring Place in Hot Springs for taking care of Jim. Also the staff and especially the aides and nurses of Heritage for all the love and support they gave him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Lutheran Church 103 Ponferadda Hot Springs Village with Rev. Leland Lochhaas officiating.
